NEUROMANCERS Needs You!
Plus we reveal our brand new look 👀
Hey Divergents!
In this newsletter we have multiple opportunities and are super excited to share with you our brand new website and graphics. Read on to take a look!
VOLUNTEER WITH US!✊🏾✊🏿✊🏽✊🏼✊🏻
We invite you to join NEUROMANCERS incredible community of volunteers…
Why join our community of volunteers?
NEUROMANCERS exists because the mainstream mental health system has failed our communities. Many of us have been labelled, dismissed, pathologised, over-policed, or pushed out. NEUROMANCERS is an alternative, centred on our practice of Peer Solidarity. Volunteering here means participating in building that alternative, by gifting your time, skills and experiences.

Why should I volunteer?
The world can be an overwhelming place: when we want to make a positive and politicised impact it can be tricky to know where to start – particularly as neurodivergent+ people. Our volunteering opportunities help you be part of bringing abolitionist and care-based realities to life in a structured and consistent way!
Whilst volunteering helps other people, it can also help you in many ways. Through volunteering with us, you might learn more about:
Practising solidarity in action
Contributing to abolitionist, non-clinical mental health alternatives
Deepening your political education around neurodivergence and oppression
Developing facilitation or community organising skills
Building confidence in leadership or collaboration
Gaining experience in peer-led mental health frameworks
Being part of something values-aligned and community-rooted
As a volunteer, you will receive training and/or orientations relevant to your role, alongside access to our Volunteer Support Fund, complimentary membership, and support from your key contact.
Whilst we dream and create the world we deserve to live in, we're also living under the oppressions of capitalism: If it supports your financial survival, we encourage you to add your volunteer experience with us to CVs and are more than happy to write reference letters if requested!
Join the team and help build autonomous, abolitionist, and accessible mental health care for our community.
We'd love to receive your application by 9am Monday 18th May 2026.
